Do-over! Wada didn’t factor in the decision (a 2-1 WAS win) for the first go-round but allowed 1 ER and had 6 Ks in 5.1 innings. In his last outing against KC, he went 5.2 and gave up 1 ER in the 2-1 Cubbie win.
Roark got the W for throwing 5 innings and allowing the one run against the Cubs at Wrigley. It was his first start of the season. His last time out was part of the Nationals’ slide in Cinci. He gave up 2 ER over 6 innings but avoided taking the loss in a game that ended 8-2.
Coghlan is 5-11 against Roark, and Bryant went 2-2 with a HR against him in the Wrigley loss. As a team, WAS is hitting .221 against Wada. Span has a HR.
In case you give a schlitt, the Cubs pen has eeked up to 9th in the NL and 21st overall.
Go Cubs!
